This piece is the one which I believe is played in Trabia Garden. This is why at first I always thought of it as “Selphie’s Theme”. The fact that the original version is already almost a piano version means that it was pretty easy to arrange. I really like the introduction and it’s beautiful descending figures.

The music itself is based around the Balamb Garden theme and uses most of it’s melodic material, but focusing on what was the “secondary part” in the Balamb Garden theme.

PLEASE DON’T ASK FOR THE SHEET MUSIC!! If you really want to play this music, then do Square-Enix a favour and go buy the sheet music book, it’s definitely worth it.

This is the theme of the overworld map, and indeed, the repeated bass motif makes you feel like you’re walking on a huge plain or something…
I thought that this piece was sort of annoying in the game, but the arrangement is not that bad.

I tried to go for a mellow and calm feeling in this recording. It’s surprisingly hard not to miss any notes in the left hand!
