Also, any tips on piano playing and the dreaded sheet music would be greatly appreciated!

Usually on piano music you play the notes shown. If they want you to play say three notes they will be joined. Chords are usually useful when playing an organ.

I think I have it right. But perhaps others know better.

Something that you can download like limewire. But instead of downloading songs, you can upload songs and it instantly writes up piano sheet music for you. Does something like that exist? For free? Reply with links!

At this point in technology, you can download a MIDI file of music, and open it in Finale, Sibelius, or a similar program, and it will notate it for you . It will need tweaking – nothing is perfect, and you are at the mercy of whoever wrote that MIDI file. But at this time, there are NO programs that will convert WAV, mp3, or other digital (or of course analog) music files to notation. There are quite a few free downloads that SAY they do – but they do not. It is my business to know – I have a MM in Music Theory, wrote my MM thesis in digital music and computer-assisted music notation programs, and my adult son i now finishing HIS MM in Digital Music. There are pitch-to-MIDI converters, wherein you can sing or play a one-line instrument into a mike, and they will notate it – but these are strictly monophonic – and not all that accurate, either. So – what you have asked for is a great idea – it just does not exist YET. And FREE?????? No chance.

Can you download piano music for many selections for free? Sure. Popular songs? No – they are copyrighted – you can download them, but they are going to cost you.

Added – repaired some minor typos. If file is available in MIDI or any other format, the onus is on YOU to determine if is public domain or copyrighted. If you go to a site where that issue is addressed on the home page (giving you warning about the rights in various countries, for example) then it is up to you to abide by what is legal in your country. Some sites will block you from illegal download. However, you will find many thousands of things at your disposal, all legal and free.

I made a few changes in it from the way I play it in this video to make it more like the original song.

You know, it was strange, I just sat down at the piano and it was like my hands knew what to do already. I’ve never really had that experience before with any other song I’ve tried to play by ear. I really don’t know what to say about this song, except it pretty much changed my life and the lyrics are very meaningful to me. God must have been thinking of me when he led these guys to write the song.

Congratulations to Tenth Avenue North for winning the best new artist at the Dove awards. I can’t think of anyone who could deserve it more.

This is my piano arrangement of “True” by Akira Yamaoka from Silent Hill 2. The only thing that’s significantly re-arranged is the string/chorus part in the middle. Other than that, it’s pretty much true to the original.

i have a piece of sheet music which is for piano. i wanna noe, how do you sing the song by using the sheet music thanks. btw, there are chords.

Here, you have three options. One, you can sing the melodic note in the chord and transpose the music. Two, you can grab other people and have them sing the other notes, again with transposition. Three you can become a Tibetan throat singer and sing the notes using your second vocal chord, yet again, with more transposition.

Does anyone know the direct website for violin and piano sheet music for Apologize by One Republic? I would be reallt grateful if someone found it!!!!!!!
